The Norwegian’s Seamen’s church was established in 1864 by Johan Cordt Harmens Storjohan, and was known as the Scandinavian Seamen’s Mission for Leith and other ports in the Firth of Forth.  The church was built in 1869 to a design by James Simpson.  More recently it has been in use as Leith School of Art.
