Edinburgh in Pictures is an illustrated dictionary of Edinburgh's landscape and history.
It is an ongoing project to catalogue the changing city and conserve its heritage, especially those things which are transient or may be lost. Some of the things we are interested in include derivations of street and area names, street furniture, cemeteries, traditional architecture and former residents of the city. Our main interest is in Edinburgh local history, but wherever we can we offer links to other websites to provide a wider historical context for the information on the subjects on these pages.
All contributions to Edinburgh in Pictures are warmly received.
We think feedback can only be a good thing, so please get in touch and tell us what you think of the website.
We are looking for sponsors, so if you can donate a prize for our forthcoming prize draws, or would like your company to be featured across the website, please get in touch.
