A pub with a literary reputation, it was once frequented by John Gay, author of the Beggar’s Opera, and Allan Ramsay, local poet. The present building dates from the 1960's and was designed by Sir Basil Spence.
The image shows the old public house known as Jenny Ha's, and was originally published in Memorials of Edinburgh in the Olden Time by Daniel Wilson.
