Jenner’s on Princes Street was founded in 1837 by Charles Jenner and Charles Kennington.  It was remodelled in the late years of the 19th century after the style of the Bodleian Library, Oxford by W Hamilton Beattie, who also designed the Balmoral Hotel.

The image above shows the etched glass windows facing onto Rose Street.

The image above shows the rear of Jenners on Rose Street, still looking much as it must have done 50 years ago.
