Argyle House was designed in 1968 by Michael Laird and Ian Rogers of the Michael Laird & Partners. A municipal building, it has been in since its development as office accommodation for various authority and governmental agencies, and it is also the venue for tribunals of various kinds. Seen here from the junction of West Port and Lady Lawson street, the building extends to Castle Terrace, where it is a Department for Work and Pensions building.
The image shows the Castle Terrace facade of Argyle House.
