Warriston Crematorium was previously East Warriston House (built in 1818), and it stands on Warriston Road, close to St Mark's Park.
It is attached to Warriston Cemetery, a Victorian garden cemetery, and the building was converted to its current purpose in 1929. by Sir Robert Lorimer, who died shortly before the project's completion.
The crematorium is still in regular use, and the grounds are open to the public througout the year.
The image shows the garden and cloister to the east or rear of Warriston Crematorium.
