The Ross Fountain in West Prince’s Street Gardens was donated by Daniel Ross, a renowned gunsmith, and was bought from the International Exhibition of 1862. The fountain was made by Antoine Durenne, noted French sculptor and metal worker, and producer of the book, Ornamental Ironwork.
