Register House was designed by Robert Adam and built between 1774 and 1803 on the site of a house known as ‘Piece and Plenty’. Outside is a fine equestrian statue of the Iron Duke, Arthur Lord Wellesley, better known to history as the Duke of Wellington.
The image on the left shows Register House at the east end of Princes Street.
