Newhaven Parish Church was built in 1836, with James Fairburn as its first minister. He later became the first minister of St Andrew’s Free Church, after the Disruption of 1843. After the union in 1929, the church became known as Newhaven on Forth, before reverting to its former name in 1974 on merging with the Newhaven St Andrew’s congregation.
