This gravestone in South Leith Parish Churchyard remembers Alexander Hunter, blacksmith and member of the Incorporation of Hammermen.
The image on the left shows an Edinburgh Hammerman, or smith.
It was originally published in Domestic Annals of Scotland from the Reformation to the Revolution.
