Brigadier General Kazimierz Dworak

This building at 39 Great King Street was once the resisdence of Polish Brigadier General Kazimierz Juliusz Tadeuz Dworak, who fought in World War I, and fled to Western Europe after being imprisoned in Hungary at the start of World War II, where he became the Deputy Commander of the 1st Armoured Division, part of the Polish Corp based in the West.
