Cramond Kirk overlooks the village and dates in part to the 15th century.  The present kirk replaces an older place of worship which was in ruins by the middle of the 17th century.  The replacement church incorporates the 15th century tower and Cramond Vault.  The kirk has been considerably altered, with additions in the 18th century, and a host of renovations by some of the most famous names in 19th century Scottish architecture, Robert Burn, William Burn, Robert Bell and David Bryce.
